Another engaging Loughborough Speakers Club meeting took place on 23rd April, with three very entertaining speeches.
Firstly, Christine delivered an impromptu speech based around the theme of ‘my favourite things’, with a focus on space and planets. This was followed by Robin, providing a visually engaging speech on his experiences in the Sahara Desert, and finally Akville talked about the topic of ‘Addiction’ and mobile phones.
After a break for coffee and biscuits, we returned with another highly enjoyable impromptu topics session hosted by Saron, with a challenging “would you rather…” question proposed to each of the speakers. Robin was the overall winner of the session, and his trophy was presented by Topics Evaluator David (pictured here). We are back on 14th May for our annual AGM!
